Our Young Adults program, specifically suited for people aged 17-25, is an important part of our church program. It’s aim is to help and encourage young people who are committed to growing in their faith. Our hope is that our young adults will be active and fruitful members of the church who are ‘equipped for every good work.’ 2 Timothy 3:17. We meet regularly for training from the scriptures, specific to the young adult years. This training includes teaching and discussion about Christian living, service and worship.
There is a particular focus on Christian foundations for those aged 17-20 years, effective ministry for those aged 21-23 years and leadership and fellowship for those aged 24-25 years.
Our meetings also give young adults the opportunity to encourage and minister to each other through song, prayer, testimony and teaching. Our young adults are actively involved in all areas of the church, including the Sunday morning communion service, Sunday school teaching, various men's and women's initiatives and the home fellowship program. In addition to the regular program, there is an annual National Youth Convention (NYC) that occurs in Brisbane each January for young adults across Australia.
